4-Story Medical Building: It's exciting to see all of the changes happening on the medical campus today. With the new 4-story Hannibal Regional Medical Building nearing completion of the framework and outside walls, construction crews will begin the electrical work shortly. IMPORTANT!! – On Monday, August 6, 2018 construction crews will close the 1st floor Medical Office Building corridor (the one with the public restrooms) for construction. It will be closed for 2 months or until the utility services have been run to the new 4-story building. All staff and patients will need to use the public restrooms on the 2nd or 3rd floors of the current medical building, the hospital entrance or the the hospital administration hallway. We regret the inconvenience that this will cause but it is necessary to continue construction on the new medical building. We are happy to report the new medical group building is on track to open in the spring of 2019.

Surgery Discharge Area: As for the rest of the construction, the surgery discharge are behind the current medical office building has been going on for a few weeks. The steel has been erected, floors poured, grading for the paved roadways has been completed and the framing and sheeting has started.

ICU/PCU Step Down Unit: The 2-story addition on the back of the hospital for ICU/PCU is really coming along quickly. Construction crews are framing interior walls, completing electrical and plumbing work, as well as exterior brick work.

Roundabout: The construction crews are moving quickly to complete the work needed for the roundabout. With more than 50% of the major road work done, the finish line is in sight. As long as the weather continues to cooperate, the roundabout construction will be done sooner than you think. Over the next few weeks, the work left will be evaluated and a completion date we be set. You can view our most up-to-date pictures of the roundabout in the photo gallery below.
